Point it at Oracle.
Walk away with insights.
DecisionBox connects to your Oracle Database — on-prem, RAC, or Autonomous Database — with a read-only login you control. The agent reads your schemas in place, validates the SQL it writes without running it, and surfaces validated insights from what is already in your database. An Enterprise connector.
A login you control. Nothing more.
Three things to know on day one.
Read-only, with a login you control
Point DecisionBox at your database with a read-only login — by service name, SID, or a full connection string. The agent sees exactly what that login is granted and nothing more, so your DBAs stay in control of the access boundary.
Reads your schemas in place
No tables to refactor, no pipeline to stand up, no database-side changes. The agent discovers your existing schemas on its first run, re-checks them on every run after, and samples rows safely to learn the shape of your data.
Validates SQL without running it
Before a generated query is ever considered, DecisionBox checks that it is valid against your schema — without executing it. Nothing is run against your data until it has been verified as a safe, read-only query.
Two ways in. Both standard Oracle.
Pick the one that matches how you already hand Oracle credentials to the rest of your stack. Both end at the same read-only login and schema you configured — what changes is whether you fill in the connection fields one at a time or paste a full connection string.
Connection fields
Fill in the host, port, and service name (or SID) in the project config, then add the read-only login. The credential is stored encrypted and never written to logs.
Connection string
Paste a full Oracle connection string instead — handy for RAC, a specific node, or any setup that needs extra connection parameters. Works the same for Autonomous Database.
Both options end at the same read-only Oracle login and schema you configured — and nothing more. If your security team has already approved how the rest of your stack talks to this database, they have already approved DecisionBox.
An Enterprise connector, on the same engine.
Part of DecisionBox Enterprise
The Oracle connector ships with DecisionBox Enterprise, alongside SSO, data governance, audit logging, and the other capabilities your security and compliance teams expect. Same autonomous discovery agent, run against Oracle.

The same agent runs against any of them. If your warehouse moves, your DecisionBox install moves with it.
